Karl Marx's family tree

I own two biographies of Karl Marx, and the details of his maternal ancestors given in both of them is suspiciously, highly suspiciously scant. "Not so much is known of the ancestry of Karl Marx's mother," writes Professor David McCellan, British scholar of Marx and Marxism, and author of eight books on the subject. Robert Payne in his 1968 biography — 582 page long — briefly mentions a "Lion Philips", and credits him as founder of the now multi-billion dollar Philips electronics company. Payne informs us that Philips married a sister of Karl Marx's mother, but he doesn't bother giving her name, nor does Payne mention the names of Marx's maternal grandparents anywhere within his biography.

As I've posted on previously, Karl Marx, through marriage, was closely related to the Rothschilds, the richest family on the planet, and this is undoubtedly the reason why his maternal ancestry is suppressed.

"[T]he identity of Kohanim has been carefully preserved throughout history." It states on wikipedia. The Kohanim, are the priest class of Jews, supposedly the descendants of Aaron, the brother of Moses. They are often, but not always, known by the name of Cohen. Karl Marx's mother Henriette Pressburg, was a Kohanim through her mother's ancestry, her grandfather was the brother of Levi Barent-Cohen, whose entry in the Jewish Encyclopedia states:

"... his chief claim to remembrance lies in having been the founder of the Cohen family in England. Through the distinguished marriages which his children contracted, nearly all the leading Jewish families in England are connected with him."

McCellan, may be right when he wrote: "Not so much is known of the ancestry of Karl Marx's mother," because not much is widely known. The information is intentionally suppressed by biographers of Marx, of which he is one. Marx's maternal family had quasi-royal status amongst Jews. Records of the family's history are meticulously kept, as they are Kohanim. What could not be allowed to become common knowledge, was that the founder of communism, and the richest family in the entire world, were closely related.

He had three, all died young, and childless it seems, but Marx's family is deliberately shrouded in secrecy.

Moritz David (b.1815, died at birth, or in infancy, biographers' accounts differ)

Hermann Marx, Karl's brother, who was born on August 11, 1819, was an apprentice in an Amsterdam business. He died in Trier on October 14, 1842, at the age of twenty-three.

Eduard (1826 - 1837)

Marx's mother's family (the Pressburgs) were Dutch-Jews, her sister (Sophie) married Lion Philips, whose was mega-wealthly, and his descendants own a company you've probably heard of:

Marx wrote to Engels once about how his cousin Antoinette Philips, tended his boils when he was in the Netherlands; her dark eyes shining dangerously as she pampers me, and no one could do it better.

So Hermann Marx, the only one of Marx's brothers to live longer than 11 years, probably worked for his Dutch uncle. But as he died so young, it's unlikely, although certainly not impossible, that he married and had children. Karl married at 25.
