This 1957 article from The Vancouver Sun
is about a book entitled Hitler's
Youth,
which was written by an Austrian
archivist and author named Dr. Franz
Jetzinger.
Between 1931 - 1934 Jetzinger was a
member of the government of Upper
Austria,
which enable him to access records of
Adolf Hitler and his 1909 draft-dodging
for
the Austrian military.
Although he considered publishing this
damning information
on Hitler, he was persuaded not to by a
colleague, a fact which undoubtedly
saved
his life. The Gestapo interrogated
Jetzinger in 1938 whilst they attempted
to
trace the conscription files on Hitler.
Jetzinger was able to feign ignorance.
After the war Jetzinger further investigated Adolf Hitler, and although he also was
unable to prove who was the paternal
grandfather of Adolf Hitler, he too
believes
Hitler's actions alone, indicate that
Hitler's attempted to cover his Jewish
ancestry.
