Death Camp: Treblinka, but escaped during an uprising on August 2, 1943.
Above he is
pictured giving testimony at the main Nuremberg
trial on February 27, 1946,
and at a
reunion of Treblinka escapees in 1944. Rajzman
claimed in March 1945 that only 12
(all in the
photo) of the 150 - 200 who escaped, were then still
alive, the others later
murdered by
the Germans. Strangely Jankiel
Wiernick, the Treblinka sonderkommando
whose book
was read at Nuremberg and who testified at the
Eichmann trial in 1961,
But the
number of Treblinka survivors later grew from 12 to
60.
Samuel Rajzman
testified before a US Congressional Committee in
March 1945,
at this same
Congressional, a Polish Jew named Joseph Thon, twice
announced that
6,000,000 Jews
had been killed by the Nazis
Before the committee, Samuel
Rajzman testified that the Nazis had
killed Jews at Treblinka, by pumping the air out of cabins.
