poems, entitled I Am
Alive in 1911. It contains the
"explicitly Zionist" poem: To
The Jewish People "in
which he concludes that Jews have no
place in Europe and should return to the
land of Israel." And it "would not be
the last time Erenburg expressed such
an actuate premonition."
