The News Release from the Reuters Company above states that:
"The Reuters Founders Share Company was set up in 1984 to safeguard the neutrality and independence of Reuters."Well, when it comes to "neutrality" the Reuter Trustee mr. Gyllenhammar is a well known Jew with a strong Zionist conviction, hailing Israel and for instance advocating the formation of a Palestinian state on the territory of Jordania as his measure to "solve" the Middle East conflict.
In an article in the Swedish daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter (31st december 2001) Gyllenhammar stated that "Jordania ought to be the natural homeland of the Palestinians" and in Dagens Nyheter (25th mars 2003) Gyllenhammar hailed the Zionist attack on Iraq stating that "the attack on the Iraqi terror regime was justified".
The Jewish linkage to Pehr Gyllenhammar derives from his mother, the Gothenburg Jewess Aina Kaplan. The Kaplans is a well known Jewish clan in Sweden.
When Aina Kaplan died in 1995 Pehr Gyllenhammar and his sister hailed their dead mother with a donation to the Jewish National Fund - the Keren Kajamet - with a plantation of 1000 trees in occupied Palestine (se their article in commemoration of their dead mother in the magazine of the Swedish section of this international Zionist organization, "Keren Kajamet", edition of 24th September 1995).
Gyllenhammars Jewish connection is hailed in the Jewish circles in Sweden and is for instance boasted of in the leading Swedish Jewish paper Judisk Krönika ("The Jewish Chronicle") in Judisk Krönika, nr.4-1985.
The son of Pehr Gyllenhammar´s sister, the Jew Peter Hjörne, is the owner and editor of the big newspaper group around Göteborgs-Posten in Gothenburg in Sweden and is himself a strong supporter of Israel and the Swedish section of Keren Hayesod - The United Israel Appeal - the central fundraising organization for Israel.
